Picture Day

Picture Day is October 4th!

The Brackett PTO is looking forward to working with Coffee Pond Photography again this year on Friday, October 4, 2024 for our annual Brackett Picture Day!

If you have school or Picture Day questions, please reach out to Katy Newman by emailing k.newman@live.com. For questions around ordering, order placement, refunds, and other specific support, please contact Coffee Pond Customer Service by emailing lifeguards@coffeepond.com.

Ordering Photos

Order forms from Coffee Pond Photography went home in backpacks on Monday, September 23; spare forms are available in the office.

You can order photos one of two ways:

Please note that a portion of the profits from all orders submitted online prior to Picture Day are donated to the Brackett School PTO to support our mission.

If you order online, you do not need to send in anything to school with your child(ren) on Picture Day.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where will pictures be taken?

Due to the upheaval around the exterior of the school building, individual pictures will be taken inside (with a backdrop—no choices of cool patterns, but it’s a nice green foliage background!), and class photos will be taken outside (weather permitting). In inclement weather, class photos will be taken inside, either in the gym, the lobby, or in your child(ren)’s classroom(s).

Do we get to see proofs?

No, Coffee Pond does not provide photo proofs.

When/how do we receive the photos?

A: There is no exact timeframe, but if your child(ren) are present and have their photos taken on Picture Day on Friday, October 4, 2024 all physical photo packages will be delivered to school and sent home in backpacks prior to the Thanksgiving holiday break. If you choose to order a digital copy of your child(ren)’s school picture, either a la carte or as part of a package, you will receive the image file(s) via email earlier than you will receive the physical photo package.

Every year, at least some parents are upset by the condition of photos after being shoved into backpacks; please ask your child(ren) to be careful or to hand-carry them out of school. If you do end up needing replacements, you’ll need to contact lifeguards@coffeepond.com.

What’s up with class photos?

All students will receive a class photo, regardless of whether individual photo packages are ordered or not. All students will also have their individual photo taken, regardless of whether a package order is placed (this is for student ID purposes).

Please note that class photos will be delivered after Retake Day this year, which is a change from previous years.

What if I don’t like the photos?

If you dislike the photos for any reason, you have the option of having your child(ren) have their photo taken again on Retake Day on Friday, December 6, 2024. If you’d prefer a refund, you will need to contact lifeguards@coffeepond.com.

What if I need/want more photos?

If you wish to order additional photos after placing your initial order, or if you are a two-home family and wish to receive separate individual packages or digital copies, please contact lifeguards@coffeepond.com for support.

What happens if my child(ren) miss Picture Day?

Retake Day is scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024. If you place an order online prior to the initial Picture Day, Coffee Pond will be aware that your child(ren) were not present and will ensure their photos are captured on Retake Day. If you did not place an order, you can do so any time between now and Retake Day online, or you can pick up an extra paper order form in the office and return to your child(ren)’s teacher(s).

How does Retake Day work?

On Friday, December 6, 2024, a Coffee Pond photographer will be at Brackett to capture photos for students who missed Picture Day and/or for students who need to have their photos taken again for any reason.

Coffee Pond will have a list of students who were absent from the initial Picture Day, but not of those who need to have photos retaken.

Parent volunteers will be on hand to escort students to and from their classrooms to the indoor location of retakes; please let your child(ren)’s teacher(s) know if your child needs to participate so we can ensure everyone is included.

If you receive an initial photo package and your child(ren) participate in Retake Day, they will need to bring in the original photo package in full to be eligible for replacements.

Are there other opportunities for school pictures in the spring?

No, Brackett only offers one Picture Day each school year.
