The PTO STEM Committee is delighted to present the annual Brackett STEM Night.
Please join us for an evening of amazing STEM activities that are guaranteed to engage students and spark their curiosity about the world around them.

Volunteer at STEM Night!
Help is needed with:
Activity Table Lead: Jello Seismic Showdown!

Help staff the fair (setup/cleanup, assist with activities, sell concessions, etc.)

Harness the Wind: Design, Build, & Test a Wind Turbine
A small-scale, interactive demonstration of renewable energy sources to power our homes and an opportunity to engineer wind turbines to see who can generate the most voltage.

LED Crafts
Make Your Own LED craft at STEM Night!

Magnetic Magic: Exploring the Invisible Forces of Stars
Explore magnetic fields using a magnetoprobe and learn how our own sun generates its magnetic field.

Marvelous Molecules! Augmented Reality and Make Your Own
Build your own molecules from beads and pipe cleaners and view molecules and biomolecules in augmented reality.

Math Challenges!
Complete various (up to three) math or logic challenges.

The Science of Sound: The Chladni Plate
Watch dancing sand and see how patterns change with different pitches and materials.

Touch a Brain!
Participants get to touch a real sheep’s brain and learn more about this fantastic organ!

Touch, Hear, and Make a Heart
Touch a real sheep’s heart, listen to your own heart with a real stethoscope, and build a working heart model

Arlington Soap Box Derby Club‘s stock cars are making a return to STEM Night. See a soap box car up close and even have a chance to take a ride!

Einstein’s Workshop
Einstein’s Workshop is a STEAM community center located in Burlington, MA where kids create, explore, and enjoy Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Massachusetts Horticultural Society
The Massachusetts Horticultural Society‘s Plantmobile is a traveling plant science program that brings workshops to your classrooms. Currently, we provide hands-on educational programs for students in pre-K to grade 5. Plantmobile programs are designed to provide all Massachusetts students with a rewarding horticultural experience.

Mystic River Watershed Association
