WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR MATH NIGHT!

Thursday, Dec. 4th from 6-8 pm

Hello parents!  We have about 20 fantastic math activities planned for our annual Math Night, but we will need some volunteers!  Please consider giving one hour of your time during the Dec. 4th event.  Help Brackett kids guess the number of treats in a jar, play Dice Golf, or do Minecraft Manipulations.  Or simply help us sell pizza to fund the event. There are lots of activities to choose from.  See our SignupGenius form at:
 www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0E49ABA922A3FD0-math

Please Double Check Your Genevieve's Order!

Thanks to everyone that participated in the Genevieve’s PTO Fall Fundraiser.  If you have picked up your order from the cafeteria, can you please check to make sure you did not mistakenly receive someone else’s order/items?  We are missing one order.

If you have not picked up your order, please do so no later than Wednesday, November 26.

Thanks for helping to make this fundraiser a success. Contact Gwen Mansfield (mansfield09@verizon.net) with questions.

Brackett Holiday Helper Program

It is our pleasure to announce that The Brackett School will be participating in Arlington's Holiday Helper Program again this year! This program allows us to help many children in need living in Arlington during the Holiday Season. This is the season of giving and our school has participated in this tradition for many years. It is a wonderful feeling to make a child's "wish" come true and to have our own children be part of making that happen and experience the importance of giving back. Many of the items are things like warm coats and boots and some are things that all kid's wish for. The important thing is that we are contributing and making a child happy! These families appreciate anything and everything we do for them.

Here's how it works:

* We have 24 kids in town whom we will donate to this year and a great group of parent volunteers to help coordinate all areas to make it as easy as possible for you!

* Each classroom will sponsor one child. Below you fill find a link to the "wish lists". Please click on the link, log in, and find Miss Murphy's class. If all items are spoken for, please go ahead and check any other classroom in the school and select a gift to purchase.

* You may select the item/items you would like to contribute or you may make a financial contribution and we will do the shopping for you! There are some larger ticket items that we will purchase with your monetary donations and we will also purchase anything from the wish lists not donated. Kids in need can always use warm socks, hats and mittens this time of year, so we use extra money to add those gifts on. Please also feel free to partner with another Brackett family or two to purchase a larger ticket item.

* Once you have the item, please send it to school with your child UNWRAPPED (clothing and shoes in a box, please) and he/she will place it in the Holiday Helper Box in their classroom. If possible, we ask that you provide a gift receipt with purchase.

* Any checks can be made payable to Nicole Antonakas. Cash and gift cards are also accepted. Please put cash and gift cards in an envelope with your name on it. All of THESE items can be left in the " Holiday Helper " envelope in the main office or you may leave it in Nicole's mailbox at 42 Scituate St. Extra gift cards are always evenly distributed among families and are greatly appreciated!

**The ABSOLUTE DEADLINE for all donations to be in is Thursday, DECEMBER 4th by the end of the school day. We don't have much time to shop, wrap and deliver after the deadline, so we appreciate your checking out the link ASAP! Here it is:
