Every year the Brackett Community comes together and provides an amazing lunch for our teachers and staff. Let's do it again! Make Your Gift – Support the Brackett PTO!

In the next few days, the Brackett PTO December Appeal will be going home with your child. With the tax year-end approaching, we hope you will consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Brackett PTO to support the enrichment provided for your child this year.

Did you know that the PTO is responsible for funding all field trips and enrichment activities at Brackett? That means all Museum of Science and Aquarium demonstrations, visits to the MFA and other museums, and all cultural enrichment activities are totally funded with support from you and other Brackett families!

Our goal is to raise $12,000 this year.  A donation of $75 covers one student's expenses for the school year (less than 42 cents per school day).  All donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Please join us and make your contribution before the end of 2014!  Thank you very much for your support!

(Note: Please use the form sent home with your child to make your gift!)

2014-15 Brackett Directory
By now, most of you should have received a copy of the 2014-2015 Brackett Directory.  We would like to thank our generous donors for making the directory possible:

Out of the Woods, Maxima Gift Center, Coyote Impressions, and Marc Culhane Painting

Without their support, the directory would not be free of charge to all families!  This year, thanks to their generous support, we actually made a slight profit, so those monies will be put back into the Brackett PTO fund.

A special thanks to our newest member of the Directory Committee, Karen Yi, who's creative talents are a huge asset to Brackett. We have an updated calendar specific to Brackett, but most of the 2015 dates were not available at printing time, so do check the Brackett website for the latest information.

If you have any questions about the directory, or would like to be in it next year, please send us an email, the entire process can be confusing with all the other school-related things you need to sign up for, the directory is often overlooked.  The directory information is managed in a database that Josh Lobel (Arlington parent) set up years ago, but it is really reliant on parents updating their information each year, so if class listings are not complete, it is because not everyone has submitted their information.  If your entry was not complete, or the way you wanted it to appear, make sure you select the correct boxes in the database.  Any database questions can be directed to the directory team or to Josh Lobel ptodirectory@arlington.k12.ma.us.

This year all families will be getting only one directory that will be distributed to the oldest child, so if your younger children did not get a directory, it most likely went out to the child in the highest grade. If your family did not receive a directory, you can ask Mrs. Killeen in the office for another copy.

And, again, we would especially like to thank our generous donors - Maxima Gift Center, Coyote Impressions, Marc Culhane Painting and Out of the Woods - for making the Directory possible.  If you are interested in taking out an ad in future directories, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you!

Thank you to our gift wrappers!

The PTO would like to thank everyone who came out to wrap gifts at Henry Bear’s Park this past weekend. The Brackett PTO raised $182 in donations and will receive an additional gift card for $182 for future use! Thank you for volunteering your time during the busy holiday season!
