Outdoor Space Survey - Responses due 4/16
The Brackett PTO's Outdoor Spaces Committee has been discussing ways to improve the Brackett School outdoor space.  We would love the community’s input about what you would like improved.  Please fill out the short survey linked below to give us your feedback and ideas.  It would be great to fill it out with your child/children since we would like their opinions and ideas too.  If you have multiple children, please respond to the survey for each child individually since their opinions will probably differ.  The survey will close on Monday, April 16th.

APS Textile Recycling Competition 4/23 - 4/27

MONDAY, April 23 - FRIDAY, April 27: All-Schools Textile Recycling Competition

All Schools will be competing to collect the most textiles during the competition week and to win a prize and town recognition. Can Brackett match or beat the 1,178.4 lbs of donated textiles and 3rd place ranking from last year?

Drop off your textiles (all old, worn, torn clothes, shoes, bedding, stuffed animals, etc) to the Bay State Textiles collection bin outside your school from April 23rd - April 27th.

Here is more information about textile recycling and why it's important:

Arlington Boy Scout Troops 306 and 313 are accepting new Scouts

Arlington Boy Scout Troops 306 and 313 are accepting new Scouts (current 5th graders and up) beginning this Wed. April 11th.

Our local Arlington Boy Scout Troops offer a fun program designed to promote character, fitness, teamwork, and citizenship for boys from 11 to 18 years old.  Opportunities for Scouts include monthly camping trips, outdoor day events, high adventure experiences, and week-long summer camps.  Boy Scouting fosters boys' self-esteem, teaches cooperation, and develops leadership through challenging outdoor activities and opportunities for personal growth and community service.  In addition, the Boy Scout program strives to instill values in young people that will prepare them to make ethical choices throughout their lives and help them reach their full potential. And did I mention just how FUN it is?

Troop 306  meets Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, 819 Mass Ave in Arlington (entrance off parking lot in the rear).

Troop 313 meets Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at St. Camillus Parrish Hall, located in the church basement, 1175 Concord Turnpike, Arlington
