Brackett Art Show is Tomorrow!

May 4, 6pm-8pm

Brackett's Community Art Show is a wonderful night where our community comes together to view art and get our creative juices flowing with hands-on art projects. Over the years we have welcomed all artwork submissions (drawings, paintings, sculpture, mobiles, lego-built creations, etc.) from students, parents, teachers, neighbors, siblings, grandparents... anyone with a connection to our neighborhood or Brackett.

Please stop by to help hang artwork in the gym: Thursday 5/3 2:30-5pm & Friday 5/4 9am-5pm
Help us to take down art work: Saturday 5/5 9-12

Thanks for submitting your artwork!  If you haven't already done so, please be sure to complete the online form: http://bit.ly/brackettartshow

We look forward to seeing you there!
Menotomy History Day Planning Meeting - Tues. 5/8

Greetings to the fine folks of the Brackett Community,
Please join us for the first planning meeting for Menotomy History Day.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 7pm in the Brackett cafeteria.  At that time we will go over what the new day will look like, and what help we will need volunteers for.  Menotomy Day is scheduled for June 15th, so we need to act quickly to ensure a great event for all.  I hope you will join us in creating a fun and memorable event for our 3rd grade students.
If you can't make the planning meeting but would like to be involved feel free to drop me a line at inaehwang@gmail.com.

Thank you,
Inae Hwang (Sebastien’s mom), and Kate Mikkelson (5th & 7th grade mom)

Sidewalk Surprise for Our Teachers! Join us Sunday 5/6, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

Teacher appreciation week is next week and we'd like to start the week off with a surprise for our teachers by writing fun messages in chalk in front of the school.

Please join us on Sunday, May 6th from 3-5pm in front of school. We'll provide the chalk. Bring your children and write a message or decorate the sidewalks to show appreciation for our teachers and staff.

We are hoping that this will be a fun surprise for the teachers and staff when they arrive on Monday morning. If you are unable to make it on Sunday, feel free to leave messages throughout the week. (In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule.)

Please let us know if you have any questions.
