The June Fair is this Saturday from 10am-2pm!
This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the PTO and provides funds to support enrichment programs throughout the school year. We know this is a very busy time of year and know how difficult it can be to donate time on the weekends. HOWEVER, we cannot make this event a success without your help.
If you could just give one hour to help out the PTO would be so grateful!
Thank you!

Fourth Grade Parents
SCIENCE CAMP UPDATE:
Thanks to the following 4th grade parents who will be chairing the 5th Grade Science Camp in October. They are Atwood Cheung (Charlotte's Dad), Patty Chookhae-Kragh (Alex's Mom) and Molly Sanford (Pete's Mom). They will be actively seeking science camp chaperones in the fall when we resume classes in September. The dates for the Science Camp are Tuesday, October 28th through Friday, October 31st.
5th GRADE ACTIVITIES/GRADUATION:
There will be a very informal "Fifth Grade 2014-15" meeting on Monday, June 16th, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, in the school cafeteria and Monday, June 16th, from 6 pm to 7 pm, in the school library to discuss general activities for our future 5th grade students including 5th grade graduation.
No chairs will be selected and no commitments will be made, but there will be discussion on the tone that our class wants to set for next year. For example, do we want a blend of fundraising (movie night, ice-cream sales), community service (Arlington Food Pantry, Anton's Coats, etc) and fun (ie: let's meet for apple picking, let's have a picnic). How do we get our children more involved in the planning? How do we give back to our school and our community? How do we have a "stress free" year?
A listing of possible roles will be provided (field day team, graduation ceremony team, school gift team, etc) for parents to explore how they may get involved next year. Another set of meetings will occur in early September for actual commitments. In addition, our theme will be revealed by Fifth grade teacher Miss Gorman. Miss Gorman does a wonderful job of selecting the theme each year.
Parents do not need to attend both meetings. Each meeting will cover the same information.
