Year End Food Pantry Collection
Next week will be our last food pantry collection for the school year. There are slim pickins at the food pantry in the summer so we'd like to stock them up! We will have bins in the lobby for your generous donations starting Monday.
Ideas for donations are:
- Lunch items. Many families who rely on the food pantry also rely on free breakfast and lunch at school. No school = no breakfast or lunch.
- Tuna, mayo, Mac n cheese, peanut butter and Jelly
- Food that works for 2 daily meals like Pancakes with syrup *(breakfast and lunch)
- soups/stews (lunch and dinner)
- toiletries, pricier condiments or foods, snack items.
Non perishables only and no outdated food please!
Thank you so so much!

Interested in being a room parent next year?
Every year we scramble to get room parents in place so we can get a class list put together and get communication going. Some of the other PTO's in town organize room parents before the summer and we're going to test it out this year and see how it goes!
If you are interested, please send me your name, your email address and what grade your child will be in next year. Once everyone receives their class lists I will send an email to all interested to find out their teacher assignment.
Thanks so much!

Cultural Enrichment News
On June 10th “Phebe Emerson” visited Brackett third grade students. Actress Jan Turnquist brought Mrs. Emerson to life in her Eyewitness to a Revolution performance. Phebe Emerson, the grandmother of Ralph Waldo Emerson, lived in Concord in the 1700s, and experienced first-hand the events leading up to and including the American Revolutionary War. Brackett students impressed Ms. Turnquist with their extensive knowledge of Colonial history!
On June 20th all Brackett students will be treated to a performance by Illstyle & Peace, a hip hop dance troupe from Philadelphia. This high energy performance is sure to be a lot of fun – a real treat at the end of the school year.
Both of these programs are funded entirely by Brackett’s PTO. Thank you!
