APS Annual Textile Recycling Competition: April 30-May 30

Arlington Public Schools is holding their 9th Annual Textile Recycling Competition on April 30 - May 30, 2025. Please support our district's sustainability initiatives and reduce waste by bringing your old, worn, torn textiles (clothing, shoes, towels, bedding, stuffed animals) to Brackett's textile collection bin from April 30th - May 30th. Brackett Food Drive: April 7-14

Contribute to the Brackett Spring Food Drive going on April 7-14. Brackett has a long time relationship with Arlington EATS, a local non-profit that works with the community to help eliminate food insecurity and hunger in Arlington.  The PTO is collecting food items daily at school drop-off during the food drive. Read-A-Thon Inflatables

On April Fools Day, students were greeted in the morning by Dr. Vice and Mr. Vanderlaine-Amaral wearing the shark and parrot inflatable costumes voted for by students during the February/March Read-A-Thon.  Brackett students passed their school-wide 200,000 minute goal by reading a total of 323,889 minutes! Congratulations to Brackett students on their reading accomplishments and thank you to our amazing principals for sporting these costumes!

April 3 PTO Community Meeting Rescheduled

The PTO Community Meeting formerly scheduled for Thursday, April 3 will now take place on Thursday, May 22, 6:30 p.m. in the Brackett Library.  This will be the last PTO Community Meeting of the year.  The meeting scheduled for June 12 will no longer take place -- the two meetings are being combined into the May date. Everyone in the Brackett community is welcome to attend.  We hope to see you there as we recap and reflect on our year!
