Third Grade Families: Menotomy Day – Thurs., May 21
Third Grade Families:
Menotomy Day will take place on Thursday, May 21st — and you’re invited to get involved with this fun, interactive day!
Menotomy Day is a highlight of the 3rd grade year. Students spend the day immersed in hands-on learning about life in Arlington during the 17th and 18th centuries, with activities like candle-making, butter churning, and traditional outdoor games.
To bring this special day to life, we’re looking for parents and caregivers to help with both planning/preparation and running activity stations on the day of the event.

Read-a-Thon Success!
Congratulations, Brackett Students!
We surpassed our school-wide goal of 200,000 minutes — together students read 243,308 minutes and raised $18,572.94 to fund Brackett PTO activities and enrichments.
Your generosity allows the PTO to cover all field trip costs, support teachers with supplementary materials, bring in enrichment events like author visits and classroom presenters, host community events, and more.
A round of applause to all the readers on logging a truly impressive number of minutes and thank you to all the families for their support in making this an engaging and meaningful literacy event and fundraiser!
Pick up at Pickup! Thurs, March 26, 2:30 p.m.
Help Clean up Trash in a Flash!
Join the Brackett PTO Green Team on Thursday, March 26 at 2:30 p.m. school pickup and help pick up trash on the Brackett school ground.
The PTO Green Team will provide grabbers, gloves, and bags — you just bring your Pick-up Pep.
We’ll be playing music and having a blast — let’s see how much we can clean up in just 10 minutes!
Friday, Mar 20: Heroes & Villains Day
Get ready to bring your favorite stories to life — Friday, March 20 is Dress Like Book Heroes and Villains Day!
Students are invited to wrap up Literacy Week by stepping into the pages of their favorite books by dressing up as beloved heroes or mischievous villains.
Will we see brave adventurers, clever detectives, magical wizards, or sneaky storybook troublemakers roaming the halls? We can’t wait to find out!
Read-A-Thon: Halfway Over!
Great work with all your reading, Brackett students!
You’ve read 23,158 minutes so far towards our school-wide goal of 200,000 minutes!
Don’t forget to log your minutes online on your Booster page so that your minutes can be added to our school total and added to our bookshelf thermometer outside Brackett. Last year we read 323,889 minutes, let’s try and beat our record!
We’re also almost halfway to our fundraising goal of $20,000! So far, $9,035 has been donated to help fund field trips, student enrichment activities, teacher support, and community events. Donations can be made through your Booster page.
