Popsicles with the Principals: Tuesday, August 26
Dr. Gretchen Vice, principal, and Mr. Michael Vanderlaine, assistant principal, were at the ready with popsicles for the Brackett community at the annual Popsicles with the Principals. The weather was perfect as Brackett students and their families enjoyed their treats, played on the playground, drew with sidewalk chalk, and blew bubbles.
Many families and students also participated in “Pick Up at Popsicles” — the Brackett PTO Green Team provided gloves, trash bags, and grabbers and students and families helped pick up trash from the schoolyard in preparation for the new school year. As always, the trash grabbers were a hit with the students who enthusiastically pitched in with the clean up.
Make sure to join the Green Team once a month during the upcoming school year for “Pick Up at Pickup” — a fifteen minute cleanup party in front of the school at dismissal. The PTO will be on hand with gloves, trash bags, music, and (of course) the much-loved grabbers. Stay tuned to Brackett News on brackettpto.org for more information on upcoming dates.
