Volunteer
CORI Form
Massachusetts law requires schools to conduct Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) checks on current and prospective employees and volunteers.
All Brackett volunteers must fill out a CORI form and return it to the Brackett front office before volunteering. A copy of your driver’s license is needed (the office can copy it for you when you turn in the form). Hard copies of the form are available at the office and a digital copy can be found here.
CORI checks are valid for three years.

Upcoming Events
Glow Dance
Friday, February 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Ready to get your GLOW on?
The Glow Dance, one of Brackett’s most popular traditions, is BACK!
Lots of help is needed to bring this event to life – there are multiple ways to volunteer and every bit helps.
- Donate food and drinks
- Help with setup and cleanup
- Sell food and drinks or glow items at the dance
Shifts are split so you can volunteer AND enjoy the dance!
5th Graders – there are lots of opportunities to help out and you can sign up for multiple slots!
Hour of Code
Monday, February 9-13, 2026, during school
The PTO STEM Committee is excited to continue our tradition of bringing the Hour of Code program into Brackett classrooms.
Hour of Code is a national education initiative – the goal is to give millions of students across the country their first taste of computer programming. Brackett has participated in the Hour of Code for several years. The tutorials, arranged as a series of games, are easy to explain to the students and work well to expose them to coding fundamentals.
Parent/caregiver volunteers run a 40-minute coding activity during school hours. This is a great opportunity to see your child in action and meet their classmates! Absolutely no coding experience is necessary — all materials and instructions will be provided.
